- PhoneBusters
- PhoneBusters is a national deceptive telemarketing call centre, operated by the Ontario Provincial Police. They are trying to educate the public about fraudulent telemarketing pitches. This website contains information on scams taking place and how you can spot or avoid them. This is a good site to check out.
- Canadian Bankers Association
- This website has lots of good information about how to safeguard your money. This is a great place to go to answer any questions you may have about online banking or identity theft.
- Bear Wise Program
- This website was developed by the Ministry of Natural Resources to provide information about bears in Ontario. This website answers the many questions you may have about bears and what to do if you encounter one.

- This link will take you directly to the weather forecast for Barrie provided at the Environment Canada website.
- MTO Road Conditions
- This link will take you directly to the Traveller's Information page of the MTO Roads website. It contains up-to-date information on road conditions in the Toronto area. You can actually see the roads through their webcams which are setup throughout Toronto and the Niagara region. To do this:
- Click on Compass - Freeway Traffic Management System
- Click on the picture under Traffic camera views
- The page will be split with the camera view at the top and road map at the bottom. You'll have to use the (upper) scroll button to move the picture up enough to see the whole thing.
- To see a different picture, click on any yellow circle in the map area.
- If you scroll the upper section up enough you'll see links for cameras in Toronto (along the Lakeshore) and Ottawa.

- This website contains links to hundreds of webcams which are set up around the world.
- Huronia Trails & Greenways
- Huronia Trails is a non-profit charitable corporation dedicated to promote and enable the development of a sustainable network of trails and greenways in Simcoe County. Go to this website to find out more about this organization, learn about these trails and print out maps of various trails in our region.
- Bird Studies Canada
- Bird Studies Canada is a non-profit conservation organization dedicated to advancing the understanding, appreciation and conservation of wild birds and their habits. Find out more about this organization at this website.
- Venus
- This is a link to the University of Victoria's Venus website. The university has placed a camera on the bottom of the ocean in Saanich Inlet, creating the first ocean observatory that send information from the ocean floor to the Internet. Check out this website to watch the ocean's secrets in real time with sound. Please note that the 'real time' part doesn't seem to be there yet but there are some great photos of the marine life found down there.
